Welcome to Round 1 of the Silverpaw Prediction League 2011/12. It's good to be back! Please see this thread for the introduction to the game which contains the rules and scoring information.

The simple version - predict the scoreline of Premier League games with 1 point for a correct outcome, and 3 for a correct scoreline. Please copy and paste the fixtures from the first post of each thread and add your scorelines. There'll be weekly winners and a table across the season.

Most importantly, do not edit your post after any game has started, as the time you edit will be taken as the time you made all of your predictions. The safest way to add or change any predictions is to make a new post in the thread.

Anyone can play, new or old, and you can predict as often or as infrequently as you like, though predicting every week gives you the best chance of being the overall winner!

Should've mentioned this before now, but it would be a big help if players could write their predictions around the hyphens in the middle of the games (see the post above this one for a perfect example!). Mr. Gary has produced an exciting spreadsheet for doing the results that sort-of relies on predictions being entered this way.

If you're posting from a smartphone and that's too difficult, don't worry, it's just a preference on our part! Cheers.

Round 1 - Results

Thanks to everyone for playing, good to see plenty of participants! After a short (ahem) delay while Mr. Gary perfected our new spreadsheet and I procrastinated, here are the results for the unpredictable (!) first weekend!

Creature clearly hadn't read the script, managing to get 3 perfect scorelines along with 3 more outcomes, making him a clear winner. A brilliant effort. The Pat and bagsjoni share second place with 8 points. At least you can rely on yours truly to be complete and utter rubbish.
