Round 38 - Results

Turning up very late to the winners' party, I've managed to win the week for the first time (I think) this season, in a week when scorelines were hard to come by. CliffyG is in second place with 8 points.

In a fitting parallel to the Premier League season, we have known our winner for a few weeks, now. Not one to rest on his laurels, though, BaZ87 increased his margin of victory this week to 7 points. He clearly wanted to put things right this year after missing out on the Champions League places last year by a single point. What's even more impressive is that I have absolutely no evidence to suggest he fiddled the results ;). Congrats you you, BaZ.

Looking at the rest of the European places, it's amazing to see that after 380 possible predictions, the final order was separated by a point a piece! The Pat improves on third last year with a second place finish this time round; perhaps el dazza is regretting that single missed prediction now! Andybtsn must qualify for the Champions League, whilst GamingSlug gets the Europa League booby prize!

Final congrats go to Dazza, who wins the award for most correct predictions regardless of scoreline, with 196.

Looking at the average 'Points per Prediction' table, chances are that Father Ted would've been challenging for the title had he predicted more this year, with lego not far behind him. Both managed more than 0.8 points per prediction, which is good going.

In comparison to last year, after a few years of consistently-improving scoring, none of us managed to break the 300 points mark this time round. There's always next year!

Thanks to everyone who has taken part this year, and a special thanks to BaZ87 for helping me out massively with the results this year - without counting I reckon he's produced more sets than I have. Hope you all enjoyed playing.
