Round 38 Results

We end the season with a mixed bag of results. @Tiger Woops wins the round with a very impressive 14 points thanks to 4 scorelines and a further 2 outcomes. Stoddy takes 2nd with 11 points with gilchrd and planty a point back, tied for 3rd.

The Final Table

Despite my best efforts to make the final day interesting with my performance in round 37 it was too little too late and @The Pat is this season's champion scoring 292 points thanks to 46 scorelines and a further 154 outcomes. Last seasons champ has to settle for 2nd place, 5 points off the pace with Tiger Woops and Stoddy retaining their spots in the CL again next season - Stoddy snatching 4th from Cosimo on the final day on scoreline difference.

What a difference a scoreline makes! I retain one small prize from last season, recording the most correct outcomes regardless of scoreline with 207, 7 more than The Pat. Cosimo came 2nd with 202 correct outcomes but so few scorelines really cost him.

Points Per Prediction

In the points per prediction stakes, of everybody that predicted more than 100 times, @The Pat still came out on top with 0.768 points per prediction, slightly down on Fulax's 0.819 last season. I take 2nd with Mr Blonde 3rd (what might have been had he not missed so many predictions) and Stoddy 4th.

Thanks to everybody that took part and congrats to @The Pat for winning this seasons Prediction League. All being well I'll run it again next season but I really wouldn't mind if anybody wanted to start the threads for me from time to time as I know sometimes I'm busy and forget until the last minute.

It was a good effort but it's not quite as good as the record of 311 points........held by me

I've just realised that @The Pat has joined me as our only 2 time winner too. I'm going to have to cheat a bit more next season to make sure I'm the first to 3.

I don't remember winning it before, I think I've been 3rd and 2nd twice though. Do you have a record of it?

Oops my mistake. I was looking back through the old threads but Freakitchen's images are no longer live so I was trying to figure out who won from his write ups - you got the most outcomes (including scorelines) one year, you didn't win over all. Sorry. Turns out Freakitchen won 2 years running though.
