I loved my track day at Castle Combe last summer but felt it did not offer very good value for money.

I noticed that the normally £155 experiences at silverstone are now just £99 (over XMas)!

Has anybody done any of the driving events at Silverstone, how did you find them?

£99 seems quite good value for money, anybody else interested?

EDIT- The Exige experience is so tempting... Details on that too please :)

Quite a lot of people here did them last month as part of the deal to supply Silverstone with their Exiges. Wasn't eligible for it myself so I didn't get to go but feedback from everyone else seemed positive although as they didn't pay for it it's probably not the best recommendation!

Do you work at Lotus, kaiowas? Next door neighbour just got redundancy :(

Yeah, I work there but i'm employed by a different company these days. Unfortunately redundancies are an occupational hazard around here.

What was wrong with the TD ? If you used your own car then part of the attraction of them, to me at least is to understand the car better. I would love to take the VX out at Brands in the near future. I don't know why, but somehow I just enjoyed my day at Snetterton much more than previous airfield days.

I did it in a Formula Ford and didn't feel like I got much track time.

Don't do it.

If you go round Silverstone in an Exige it will be very bad for your wallet as you'll *need* one afterwards!

Test driving an 111R proved bad news for my bank account. I'm scared to test drive an Exige S...

I thought you would post something like this :p

I cannot get insured on one yet so no chance of buying one at the moment.
