Hi

I have a Fortress FT02 and I want to use (if I can) a closed loop CPU cooler in it. My plan is to put in an i7 4770k overclocked to about 4.3. I can remove the top fan to use that space for the cooler fan.

Is this a wise idea or is a good air cooler going to do just as well?

Thanks in advance.

I had a Noctua D14 in my Ft02 cooling a 3570k at 4.6. With temps around mid to high 20's on idle.

Although , with the D14 fitted, you won't see much of the internals as it's huge.
Also, note that a bit of insulation tape is needed around a left fan clip on the D14 as it touches the rear of the pcb of the graphics card.

The all in one coolers I recall, fit into the top exhaust slot. Literally plug and go. If your ft02 is windowed and in sight , aestheticly cleaner look.
Sometimes, the pump can be slightly noisy.

Performance wise they are on par. If your not going to massive oc either one would more than do the job.
