i brought this case for my HTPC, everything is working in the case apart from the mounted Blue ray drive. It works as you can see the blue power light on the drive light up when you switch the machine on. I have also tried it outside the case and it works without a problem.

But here is the actual problem If i push the eject button on the case nothing happens. its like its not making contact with the eject button on the actual drive. I have tried moving the drive a bit further forward and that has not solved it either.

Any ideas of what else i could try. Until this is sorted i cant even install the OS on it.

it appears from my previous post,im not the only one that has this problem, it appears the eject button on this case and some models of other brands they have misplaced the eject button so its not in alignment with any standard optical drive. This is why is not opening. But even if i could exchange the drive i could end up trying loads before i find one that aligns correctly.

Maybe you could stick something on the eject button if it still doesn't reach?

You could install the OS with the drive outside of the case.

case eject button

thats what i was thinking of doing with regards to the eject button but not sure what to really use. I got the OS installed i carefully opened the flap at the front of the case, and used a small screwdriver to press the eject button on the blue ray drive so i could put the OS install disk in. So now i can eject the drive from windows or the remote but cant close it unless i push on the tray which i dont really want to have to keep doing.

Odd. I never had a problem installing an optical drive when I owned a LC16. (said drive was the LG blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive which I still have) It's now in the LC17 which is a similar case & I had no probs fitting it in that either. I sold the LC16 due to the fact it had a card reader which I didn't need, I couldn't get on with the iMon software provided for the front panel & you can't fit a full size graphics card in that case. (I can with the LC17)

the drive i have used to a Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP 12x BD-ROM. The graphics card and everything else is working really nice. The imon software seems to be ok for me just taking time to get use to using the remote. I also tried putting in a asus drw 2014l1t. i tried screwing the front set of holes on the drives into the 1st and 2nd holes in the optical drive bay but still no luck.
