Hi all,

I'm looking for a new case to move my current hardware (in sig) in to. I've had this case for a few years now and it's getting a bit battered, although it's not really too bad, really I just fancy a new case :D Budget is anywhere up to £100 and I want good air cooling (I have 5 of these with this) and as quiet as possible.

Should I be looking anywhere other than a silverstone fortress?

The only major thing would be that I don't want it to be too much bigger than my P182, if at all.

Any suggestions??

Cheers guys,
Richy

OK well without meaning to be pedantic, but you said your budget is £100 and a Fortress is £150...so presumably you cant afford one.

I would say stay with your P182 if its ok, it cools well and is a nice quiet case.

P182 is still a great case. If you were to keep it you could add some quieter/better fans to it and a fan controller.

Other than that there isnt really an upgrade path at that budget unless you want to which to a Antec 900-2 or something like that. :)

should have probably checked the prices before I mentioned a budget :o. I would go to £150 if it would be worth it, possibly not though.

hmmmm...I hate the feeling of wanting to buy something but not being able to justify it. It looks like my next upgrade is going to be quite an expensive one, as in ram, mobo and cpu...

Oh, and apologies for the double post, didnt notice that.

For that up to £150 budget P193 would be mainly similar but has more fans and lot more space for long graphics cards.

Fortress wouldn't give really anything over your current case in space or anything else so rather hard to justify upgrade... maybe except giving out more component noises because of acoustically clearly worser design.
