Afternoon,

Thinking of doing a build in this case in the next couple of weeks.

The important parts going in.
Sandbridge setup with an H70 Corsair cooler
2x EVGA 570 SC Graphics.
1x SSD & 1 HD.

Now the query is, what extra fans are needed for cooling and what set up of Intake/Exhaust should be used.

at present my idea is ....
Front Optical cages = Intake - 1x 120mm. (Viper) (Possibly 2, but depends on space)
Rear = Intake (1x120mm) (Viper)
Right hand side - Exhaust- 120mm Viper.

With the H70 attached as an exhaust going up with Push/Pull Typhoons.

Aim being to introduce as much air as possible to force hot air out the top as quickly as possible...... Any other ideas welcome.

The RV03 produces a lot of airflow from the two bottom fans and they're directed straight at the CPU area and the graphics cards. I am not sure if you would actually need any more airflow - especially if you flip the fans to High when gaming or giving the CPU a workout.

If you have some mechanical hard drives behind the motherboard, you may want to install a side case fan to give them some ventilation for peace of mind (I did and my HDDs now stay 30-33C rather than hitting 47C maximum without the fan). If you install any fans into the front bay mounts, you will need to remove the solid sections from the front panel to leave the filtered sections only otherwise you won't have any air to bring into the case. Personally, I prefer the look of the solid front so didn't bother with the front fans.

I would say give it a shot as it comes out of the box, see what your temperatures are like and I genuinely think you'll be pleasantly surprised. You can always add fans in very easily when it's up and running.

Just for reference, the hardware in mine is:
i7-2600K @ 4.6
Asus P8P67 Pro
Zalman CNPS9900 Max
2 x XFX 5870
2 x SSD (C300 128GB, Kingston V100+ 128GB), 2 x HDD (WD500AAKS, Hitachi 7K1000.C)
XFX Core 750W PSU

My CPU doesn't go above 65C even on Prime95 blend, and the 5870s hits 70C/70% fan with the case fans on Low, 64C/60% fan with case fans on High. I use Low normally and flick to High when gaming.

Good luck. :)

Thanks, answers everything I need.

Was going for a Corsair 600T, but the Case cooling on these seems much better.

Thanks a lot.
