Does anyone here have a SilverStone Sugo SG07 mini ITX case? if so can the psu that came with it be upgraded/replaced?

I'm looking to replace the psu that came with the case (which is a 600w) with a 700w or above, if anyone has ever replaced there's what make and model did you use?

Thanks

Yes you can but it needs to be a 140x150x86mm (rather than the usual 160x150x86mm) why do you want to replace it? If it is for power concerns then you have nothing to worry as it will comfortably handle 750W.

If you did want to change it then the only way you can better the stock PSU is with an FSP Aurum Gold 700W which is pretty much the same power but is 80+ Gold rather than the stock 80+ Bronze although a word of warning any other PSU will have muuuuch longer cables and many many more cables especially at 700W+ output.

Hey thanks for the reply and the stock PSU is 600w.

Was thinking of getting into PC gaming again and buying a GeForce GTX590 which requires a 700w psu.
I am looking high and low for a modular 700w psu for it to cut down on cable clutter but i can't find a modular psu with 140x150x86mm dimensions.
Might look into the FSP Aurum Gold 700W then mate, thanks

I'm fairly sure the stock PSU would be fine with any card you can fit in the case, including the HD6990 and GTX590 cards.

I think the only real reason to swap it out would be for something modular or that has shorter cables, but then I don't know what would fit in that regard.

People have run a 590 on the stock PSU with no problems whatsoever. See here http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1037507945&postcount=624

Yes it does SAY 600W but it is actually an FSP 850W PSU that has had cables shortened and Silverstone Stickers put on it. See here they drew 781W from the PSU http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/SilverStone-Sugo-SG07-Review/1064/7

I was of the same mind as you till I saw some reviews of the PSU and I really cba with shortening/removing all the cables in a PSU at the moment...maybe some other day.

That's perfect, exactly what i was looking for, thanks for both links.

May go with just the GTX 590 for now, I'll consider replacing the stock psu in the future if need be with a FSP Aurum Gold 700W Power Supply

Thanks again mate
