I can't help but feel Silverstone have missed a trick here.

Despite its age the TJ08-E is still imho a lovely mATX case offering excellent airflow and a compact size without resorting to compromising the intenal layout and restrict graphics card size for example. I felt it could have been brought up to date with an updated version offering -

a) Ability to run slightly longer PSU's to accomodate the common 165mm length with a slightly larger intake in the roof to accomodate 140mm psu fans.
b) More integration for SSD placement (eg behind motherboard tray)
c) Perhaps a bit more room for cable routing behind the MB.

All this could have been done without compromising its compactness and especially its height. With the TJ08 Pro what we get is a considerably larger case (that despite offering more especially in terms of watercooling) has moved it into "Evolv size" territory where (again IMHO) it doesn't compare well. It should have stayed small :(

I have to agree.

I still quite like my TJ08B-E cases, I have two, but there are a couple of areas which would not have taken a rocket scientist to work out areas of worthwhile improvement, in fact any cleaning lady or bell boy could have pointed Silverstone to the appropriate TJ08B-E forums and posts where owners have shown upgrades and mods.

My personal case bugs.

The 3.5" bay. Yawn, it's like putting a monobrow on Salma Hayek. The case would look sooo much classier and better without the bloody cut out below the fan grill.

The SSD placement, plenty of places for two SSD dedicated locations.

The HDD cage, smaller, simpler, cleaner would be nice.

A little more room in the PSU bay would not be too difficult.

The cost of a Windowed side panel. My son wants one on his TJ08B-E, but the cost quoted was oround half the full retail of a new TJ0B-E case with a Window.

Still one of my fave cases though. No interest in the newer larger Pro now.

Related: Sugo SG13. The SG05/06 was near perfect for ITX systems. All it needed was an extra inch length to fit modern cards (I have a Titan in mine with just a simple cut out of the internal body) and possibly half inch width, or offset the fan mount, to fit an AIO rad horizontally without interfering with the GPU and still keep the ODD and 2.5" drive tray.

But Silverstone went and blew it up to have full ATX PSU support (why? they have 450, 600 and 700W PSUs in SFX), smahed masses on the length and just made it far too big.

Just feels like Silverstone have gotten a bit complacent with their reworks, or they're missing the older engineers who could make great use of every available inch of space (SG09/10 is the perfect example).

And the Ravens blow chunks now.
