Sim City 2000!

Recently downloaded Sim City 2000 for a bit of old school building fun. Most of the commands are rushing back to me but I can't for the life of me remember how to actually open my city!!!

Does anyone know?

Also how do you swap between the different tool bars such as city, terrain and map toolbar?!

do a road from your city to the edge of the map. Oh yeh remember to press the play button too.

Is that all I need to do, just the road. It's defo not paused when I'm playing!

What do you mean by open your city? If the game's not paused then it's running and people are free to move in.

If their not moving in it's because you haven't built something they need - I think you need to run power lines through each of your zones for them to be powered in 2000 so try that if you haven't already, and make sure you have all the basic things they need (power, police, industrial and residential, and a school).

Remember to make your zones fairly large (when I started out I was making 3x3 zones which for some reason nobody wanted to move into). Also you could try upping the time passing thingy.

I try to keep my zones as 4 x n as electricity can travel across 4 square but no more, also buildings more than 2 squares away from a road wont be accessible.
