Sim City 4 Issues

Yes, I know I am late to the party and quite a few years behind but I have never really played one of these games. I have got SC4 installed but it has issues, I can't set it to my native res and I can't even set it into windowed mode, is there something I am missing? I have tried editing the .ini or config files to no avail...

Just get the new one. Far easier. I found a lot of problems using sim city 4 on my win 7 system.

Sim City 4 is still good, but seems to have issues with newer cards.

What is your native resolution?

1920x1080 on Monitor 1 and 1440x900 on 2...

You need to set the launch options to - r1920 x 1080 32 or something like that I;m not near my machine to check!

"-w -CustomResolution:enabled -r****x****" add this to your shortcut targetline, with the *'s filled with your res obviously without quotes. I guess you can take off the -w if you don't want windowed. No issues at all on W7 64 for me, played it loads with quite a few mods running

I confused myself...I want it windowed on screen 2, so would that be "-w -CustomResolution:enabled -r1440x900" and then drag it across?

you can press alt+enter to switch to windowed mode, It works on nearly every game if not everygame

Got it working in windowed and on Monitor 2, but when I zoom I get some random glitches like streets being stupid and when I zoom out everything looks broken...ideas?

Try changing the graphics settings to software rendering, it looks the same and it should also give you a better fps.
