So I was playing the original for a bit, building up my population and trying to keep things level when suddenly everybody starts telling me they want an airport. Fine says I, I'll give you an airport.
So I save for a few years, raise the taxes a little to help things move along and buy the airport. Happy that my population would give it a rest and go back to moaning about roads I watched as the first plane flew off... and crashed..... into the bloody airport! It must have flown about 10 feet before calling it a day. I managed to contain the fire by demolishing the connected buildings and building a fire station close by though.
Amazingly, people still take off and land at my "airport". Well I still have a runway I guess
So is anyone else here a fan of the original? I loved playing this as a kid even though I was absolute pants at it
