with vodafone currently sim only contact due to end in march with

line 1 - 20gb data plus 40gb extra - £14.20 pm

line 2 - 1gb data plus 10 extra -£8.92 pm

line 3 - 1gb data plus 10 extra - £8.92 pm

Called a couple of times but no decent offers more like £17 pm for the top one. Got them to send the PAC code and about 2 hours later got a call from retentions with the following

line 1 - 20gb data plus 40gb extra - £13.50 pm

line 2 - 10gb data on their basic plan - £10.50 pm

line 3 - 10gb data on their basic plan - £10.50pm

Pretty sure they can do better on lines 2 and 3 really.

One bad point is that their packages are now basic and red, main difference is with red you still have to pay to use your phone abroad with basic you cant use abroad either way

Afraid i don't know, last time i tried the same thing they refused or made it really difficult, but that was many years back now. Not sure if anyone else has any recent experience doing the same thing.

Just get a freebie/99p PAYG SIM card from another network - port the number over and then port the number back - will take a few days but will achieve what you want. In my experience, most networks won't entertain moving a number within their own network.

If you're in London (Central/South/South West), don't bother with 3 or ID mobile, I spend most of the time looking for signal and don't even bother with most buildings. Might jump back to Vodafone or see if there is a cheap O2 deal - ha!
