Two options......

CSR + Clubsport pedals + CSR Shifters £400 ish

or

T500 RS + TH8 RS £430 ish

upgrading from a G25 i have the bug, bad... hehe

i would like xbox 360 compatibility for forza but it's mainly iRacing im playing

Either are a huge improvement over the G25, i went from a G25 to a Fanatec 911 GT3 RS V2 wheel and even that was a huge difference so i can certainly vouch for the feel and ffb of the Fanatec products, i have no experience with Thrustmaster though.

If it was me I'd keep the G25 wheel (it's plenty good enough, some of the quickest sim racers use the DFGT wheel still) and spend the money on a set of CST pedals, expensive but supposed to be very very nice :)

I moved from an old black momo with BRD Speed 7 pedals to T500RS last year. After trying the pedals that came with the new wheel I went back to my BRDs. That's not to say the pedals are bad. They're very solid but I just didn't like the lack of brake pedal 'feel' compared to my BRDs.

Main reason for me choosing T500 over Fanatec was the number of negative stories I'd read on quality / customer service. However, I was sorely tempted by a package including the clubsport pedals as the consensus of feedback on these is great. Also seems to be far less problems reported on issues with Fanatec these days..?

Really difficult decision for you - do you have the chance to test drive any of your options? If I had the chance to test some clubsport pedals I might still be tempted away from my old Speed 7s!

Really pleased with the wheel - ffb is amazing and now have the f1 wheel replacement. Having shifters that rotate with the wheel are essential IMHO, which you don't have with the standard / original pack.

I moved from a G27 to a T500 RS and the difference is night and day. The difference in FFB in Race 07, makes the G27 feel like a toy. I don't have any isssues with the shifter paddles not moving with the wheel. They are long enough to make changing gear while turning easy enough. I've never tried Clubsport pedals, so the pedals you get with the T500 are similar in feel to the ones I had, but still an improvement over the Logitech ones.

The only negatives of the T500 over the the G27 is the cooling fans of the T500 are louder than the G27/G25 and some older games like F1 2010 and DIRT2 don't work with the wheel.

The T500RS is a great wheel, if you also purchase the F1 wheel for it then you can have the best of both worlds.

I use the standard wheel for the skippy and radical etc, and then the F1 wheel for the star mazda, HPD and F1 cars.

My fanatec wheel lasted about 9 months before dying, and the support is such a ball ache with them. I know the new wheel is supposed to be an improvement but I would still be wary.

As for the CST pedals...save up and buy them! I dont regret mine one bit. VERY expensive but they will last forever :)

I have bought some Clubsport pedals for the time being and will get a CSR probably, the T500 is meant to be the best but the static paddles and no load cell are putting me off somewhat.

I do like playing GT5 and Forza when I get around to getting another Xbox 360 that is, so the all round compatibility of the Fanatec has swayed me.

I just wished someone would make an adapter so each would work on the consoles seperately then i would probably have.....

T500 + TH8 shifter and clubsport pedals

it's a nightmare

Clubsport pedals are fantastic. I just wish that fanatec made their wheels as well as the clubsports.I do really fancy a TS500 wheel. If only they sold it on it's own.

My GT3rs got the dreaded off centre problem but Fanatec swapped it within a week.(they were as quick to swap my mate's faulty 911s). Support seems a really mixed bag with other people but I currently cannot fault them.
