Really random question.. But does simcity 4 focus more on CPU power, Ram or GFX.

Looking to upgrade PC in two stages prob upto a month or two apart and this is the game always end up playing for hours so need to know what make most improvement first?

And how well does it work on win7 or would I have to get the version which allows me to run XP mode?

If you don't get good framerates with a computer today or even a 5 year old PC, you never will imo

For what its worth, CPU then RAM then GFX
People reported lag even with very good machines, especially as cities get bigger. I found a relatively good fix on my own computer was to change renderer settings to software.

Well performance was fairly decent on my old 4000+ 939, 1800xt and 2gb ram, but the board died and since going to a 2.8 p4 its really bad with same gfx card and ram
