Simple connection query Samsung UHDTV

I have been given a Cambridge Audio TV5 v2 sound base and have connected it via optical input and it works fine except that it only outputs when I watch my TV. I have a NAS box and can also connect to YouTube and other internet sites via wireless streaming and the sound them comes out of the TV speakers

How can I set the TV up so that all sound be it streamed or directly from the Sky Box comes out of the sound box please

Try to turn on TV on the input that works (so that audio is coming out through sound base) and go to audio settings on your TV to see how it's setup. Then play something using your NAS and see in the settings if it's setup the same, probably it's not (should be option in audio settings to use home cinema instead TV speakers).

You might have to set it up for every input individually.
