I'd like to do a moderate overclock on my e8400. From what I've read here 3.6 ghz is fairly easy to achieve.

My setup:

e8400 E0
Asus P5Q-E
Corsair Pc2-6400 (4x1gb)
Scythe Ninja? cooler

Everything is set to stock at the moment. Coretemp says 27/29c whilst browsing etc.

So, is it as simple as just whacking the FSB up to 400? Or do I have to change voltages as well? Can I leave the ram at stock or do I need to change that as well? I'm a bit confused because most of the discussion is on how to get overclocks of 4ghz or more, and I just want to keep it simple.

Thanks for any advice.

I used that thread loads when I was working out my clock. Managed to get it upto 4.3 but run at 4.1 normally. Mines an old C0 chip though, your E0 should be much easier to clock with lower voltages :) Shouldnt have to raise them too much, just take it slow and keep testing. I spent pretty much 2 solid days with mine haha

4ghz should be easy. No, don't just up the FSB. Read a couple of guides on the net and do it properly.
