Simple long straight desk needed

1600mm length

Basically I am about to build a super computer, but also have a secondary test machine that I'd like to have access to with a monitor, Keyboard and mouse. The space would be handy as well.

In terms of storage I will probably buy draws or a book shelf seperately.

Any suggestions or thoughts on this?

we've used Viking stuff at work for a while now and it seems alright. pretty sturdy too.

I mean it is what is really, you want a long workbench type table and that's what your getting. price seems reasonable too.

It is a desk that will fit your super computer and is cheaper than a night out in Blackpool. Do the deal, bigly.

It's fine I guess, other than being pretty boring. You could probably find something similar for close to free if you look on eBay at people getting shot of old office furniture.

I think the Ikea Bekant range looks a lot nicer than that while only costing a touch more.

This is great if your desk has lots of items- speakers, amp, monitor (good it's on seperate shelf)

I prefer the old Jerker though, that was well built. Got the one after that and it's not as good.

I'd go IKEA too. Worktop / desk top, with drawers or legs as appropriate. Maybe an extra leg in the middle for support if it's 1m+ wide.

I have a 2m desktop with a pedestal unit each end. Loads of room and solid.

I can't be sure that this is the exact model that I bought, but as someone that also wanted plenty of space, I've found this to be practical. If there had been an even bigger version available at the time, then I probably would have graduated to something bigger still. This suits my needs quite well, though.

It's like a desk from the TV show 'The Office'. While I'm sure it wouldn't look out of place in a depressing office in Slough or maybe one of those porta cabins they have for offices on building sites I'm not sure I'd want one in my home.
