Good Morning Guys,
I'm fairly new to water cooling. I've seen some pics of the various loops people have and I'm very impressed. I have a very simple loop that is a Swiftech H2O 220 Edge HD that is just to cool the cpu (Intel 5960Xextreme) The gpu came with it's own sealed system (geforce gtx titan x hybrid) I have this in a Corsair Air 540 case. A friend built the system for me and I really fancied the look of water cooling but I wanted to start simple to get used to it. I changed the coolant a few days ago and felt pleased with myself for that, but I think it would have been easier with a drain in the system. The Swiftech came with 19/13mm tubing. I've been looking at all the different fittings but I must admit to being confused. I would love some advice on how to put in a drain, for easier maintenance, but also any suggestions on improving the look of this loop. I would prefer to keep it all contained within the case and I am keen to learn.
I'm sorry I don't know how to post a pic of my setup. I have one on my pc.

Hi,
Thanks for replying and great advice. Those fittings look fantastic. Makes my loop look a bit sad. I'm going to have to design a better looking loop including a drain, plus I'm not happy with the red coolant. I had white before to match the case so I might go back to that. I love those Mayhems Aurora coolants, but I've read they are only for show rigs and not everyday pc's. Shame!
Now I've dipped my toe in, so to speak, I've been bitten and now I've got the bug and want to learn more and improve what I have. Thanks again.
I wouldn't say no to any design suggestions you might offer?

Hi,
That's a big help, thanks.
The GPU is a Titan X Hybrid and came as a sealed loop. I'm not that confident to disturb that. So I think I'll make a loop for just the CPU. I'm ok for space as my case is the Corsair Air 540. Did the link to the photo come out as I hosted a couple of pics on Dropbox? I don't think I can use the reservoir you suggested though. With this Corsair case the drive bays are vertical not horizontal, which is a bit of a flaw imho. So I'll look for a different reservoir. I really like those fittings you suggested, so my design will be built around those.
I'm unsure whether to go for the Aurora coolant or not. I'll try and find some info about removal of the cpu plate you mentioned and take it from there.
Cheers
