I'm pap at maths, as this will prove:

100km x 100km map/area..

Is that 1,000km^2, 10,000km^2 or different?

Could someone also jot the long equation out please?

My guess was:

100km = 100,000m

100,000m x 100,000m = 10,000,000,000m^2

10,000,000,000m^2 = <unf! stuck here!> km^2

And am probably ghastily wrong.
No, this is not for homework/coursework/project/work/Gameshow/Gestapo.

TIA :)
