Simple media player

Hi All

Looking for some advice on a simple media player for my uncle. He basically needs something that will stream from a portable HD or USB Stick. Does not need anything fancy, the simpler the better.

I was looking at this : IncrediSonic Ultra Play IMP150 - HD TV Digital Mini Media Player - 1080p

Any opinions on that?

Ive purchased a handfull of these devices over the years as presents for family.
The ones I got were (Xenta) but I expect that they are all the same units, just rebranded with different firmware.

They are great at what they do and I have not yet had a file they couldnt play.
The units themselves and the remote will be cheap and chearfull, as will the GUI.
They are small enough that you can shove them in your luggage when you travel.

The price looks OK, dont forget to get a HDMI cable it most likely doesnt come with one.
Also make sure to get a full HD one. If you see a cheaper unit its most likely 720p upscaled.

Just checkout Sony BDP‑S1100. I think that is just what you want.

The Sumvision cyclone micro + i had was pretty good for the money, played 1080p and everything i put through it problems.

Raspberry Pi running openelec or Raspbmc is probably about as simple as you can get.

Heard good things about Roku too but not used them before.
