Simple overclocking guides?

Just built new PC with Ryzen 3900X and MSI Trio 2080ti

Running on air, with NH-D15.

Any recommended guides on overclocking? don't want to go to extremes, just get a boost out of what I have without too much fuss.

I got to 4.3 ghz

It gave me a few more points in 3dmark and cinebench went from 6022pts to 6809pts

But I was a little confused because the 3dmark shows

Reported stock core clock
3,800 MHz
Maximum turbo core clock
4,591 MHz

Changing the cpu multiplier I'm fixing it a 4300 Mhz

So is it worth the over clock

So you couldn't get past 4.3ghz? Not sure how the turbo works with an oc.

windows failed to boot with 44. Not touched voltage or anything else

also adding about 139mhz to gpu clock speed according to msi afterburner

will run 3D mark once more with both these overclocks

What are you finding that you are doing that warrants wanting to overclock the CPU out of interest?

I run batch operations and process images in lightroom with simultaneous photoshop usage.

If I could get more worthwhile performance out of the CPU then it means I can clear jobs quicker.

December will be a very busy month, and work may start cutting into my sleep.. it'll be a step up from my 6700k anyway.. though that was overclocked to 4.7ghz

Shortening things like the export time, render time as I zoom through images.. all help
