I have a quick query as to what I am doing wrong? If a machine has multiple profiles on it I normally copy the Desktop Fav and My Documents and the Start Menu
However just lately I have had users log on to the new machines where I have copied this data over only to find that they are missing icons and files off their Desktop?
So question is what am I doing wrong (XP) by the way If I choose to copy the whole profile from one drive to another it can take in excess of 30 mins for some and these machines have upwards of 12 profiles on them...
As far as I am aware they are not roaming profiles so what do I need to do to make sure I capture all the data and thus not to have to go back again.. Its not as if they are saving to the C Drive as one of the users didnt have any icons on the Desktop I had copied over but was logged on to another machine in the same office and her icons were there.. I apologies in advance (and its pretty basic stuff) If I seem somewhat confused by this but cant figure out what is going wrong or what exactly I need to copy over - without copying over stuff that isnt of any relevance..
