I've just got a new Xbox Pro machine (Premium with HDMI), and am waiting for a HDMI cable to arrive tomorrow (so it can be used as a DVD Scaler). For a month or two it won't be connected to my home network, ergo the internet, so won't be able to autoupdate.
Given that its the new model with HDMI which only came out recently, I'd expect it to have the latest update version (Dashboard update?) of the software, but can anyone tell me if common sense and reality agree on this?

As an extra note, isnt the next Xbox update meant to be coming relatively soon?

if when you sign into live it doesnt ask you to update you have the latest version.

new dashboard update is due anytime now.

I got an Elite which had a manufacturing date of 12th July 2007. It didn't have the latest firmware as there was no red Marketplace blade. Can't remember when that last update was released.

Read his post. He isn't connected to the net.

As said if you have the elite chances are you will have the newest firmware. All tough there was a small update for the Scene it controllers.

As for the newest updating coming. It will be available for you to download from the MS website, burn to disc and pop that in your 360.

Ahaha I'm going to get owned by Kyle now. It's the new one with HDMI... so you should be up to date :)
