Simple question using Y splitter for 2 fans?

Hi there, i'm getting 2 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm fans for my Corsair H70, because the stock ones are as noisy as hell. The stock ones are using the 3 pin Y spliter so that I can use 2 fans from one 3 pin connector on the motherboard.

Am I ok doing the same thing with the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm fans? Using the Y splitter plugging both fans using the Y splitter into one 3 pin connection on the motherboard?

I have an Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58 MB
and a Corsair TX 650W
