x2's will only be of any use for multi tasking or future proofing... i would get the x2 anyway but a lot of ppl are saying the single cores will be more benificial to you right now!

Here's the best I can do with £500 and working in the 3800 X2, thats without a hdd, CPU cooler or optical drive.
You'd be better off saving money on the CPU (go for a single core 3700 instead) to put towards more RAM or a better Case/PSU. You could save a bit more by downgrading the Asus NF4 board to a Asrock DualSATA2 aswell.
