Hi
I am looking to upgrade my Asus A8V Deluxe to an AM2 board. I have always stuck by ATI for graphics, so I was wondering do the Nforce chipsets work as well with an ATI card as they do for an NVIDIA card? Also, if I brought an Asus M2N32 deluxe board (which is SLi) would an ATI card work just as well with no conflicts?

Ideally I'd love an AMD 790FX board, but I would be strapped for cash on the graphics card, although I dont do a lot of FPS gaming and am not that into the best card, although I dont want a cheap GPU.

Advice/help appreciated, thanks!

Thanks. Could someone recommend a good, relatively cheap graphics card? Is it worth spending that little bit more on a 790FX board and a cheaper card? Budget wise I was looking at ~£100 for a board and ~£150/160 for a card.

Gpu £135

or Mobo 2 £117

Within your total budget of £260, I've never had an AMD system so can't say which mobo its better but for that price they should b good. :)
3870 i belive is one of the best cards for the money atm. Or if you want to try nvidia route than pick 8800gt

Just make sure your PSU have enuff amps to run the card

no problem

as i said i know nothing bout amd mobos so you might ask/wait for some1 else to coment on those mobos if you arent sure which to go for. Unless you planing to run 4 cards and 1st one got all u want/need i wouldnt bother with the 2nd one. :) Tho you might get more for it when selling it.
