simple WOW question

just a quicky,i used to play LOTRO and age of conan,those are the only mmorpg's i've played,so should i get WOW?
i'm going shopping in about to hours so convince me yay or nay?

ok i've just had 10 mins on the the 10 day trial thingy and i think i'm just gonna go buy it,could you reccomend me a server (world what ever)and char,i was thinking hunter?also should i go pvp?...god i'm a newb

Blade's Edge, a brand spanking new PvE realm opened around two weeks ago. It's probably your best shot, unless you have friends on other realms who you want to play with/spunge boosts from.

Started a druid on Laughing Skull PVP realm,got to lvl 6 so far but i aint got any cash for training new skillsstill not 100% yet on whether to buy it yet but i have another 8 days to decide
Is the streaming trial version exactly the same as the retail version?i.e graphics etc?

Streaming version only has low graphics available, also Druid is like the hardest starting class.

AH low graphicsmakes sence i spose as it is streamed,hardest starting class?typical.I want a fun char that can heal others but dont want to struggle with it,very tempted to go buy this afternoon,should i just buy the standard 9.99 jobby or the 20.99 jobby with the addons?also is laughing skull a good realm to roll on?

Buy the battle chest, WoW + TBC at around 20 quid in most game stores. If your pondering a server to start up on I would seriously chose server by population/PVP group. You'll be gutted if you enjoy PVP and your in a dead/crap group. Oh also, as to your class selection woes, I think the class your looking for is a shaman.

When choosing the realm should i choose one the they recommend or a medium/high load one?

I'd go for a medium one, don't go to a server blizzard assign you, it'll be dead. Oh also, a server rated as "high" often means you might have to queue to get on at peak times.

There are quite a few of us on Shattered Halls in the OcUK guild.

I started as a hunter, fun character and really eay to level, now have a priest lvling up which im having just as much fun with as im getting to do more instances, but soloing missions can get a bit frustrating at times

Damnstarted on Azjol-nerub now as a nightelf druid,i would change but i've got to lvl 8 and got 2g 30s (some bloke randomly gave me 2g)

Mate, there is no problem with changing at level 8.

Thats about a 2 hour investment for an experienced wow player, maybe 4 for a new player.

If you ever make it to 70, you will be looking at over 100 hours played - so dont worry about restarting at level 8

What about my gold?

Your 2 gold really isnt anything to worry about either - the higher you go, the easier it is to accumulate.

To give you a comparison, a level 70 character can make in 100G per hour or more.

Plus if you are nice to someone in the Shattered Halls ocuk guild they may be nice enough to help you out for the earlier levels

im more than willing to send you a few gold to get you started out, as has been said ay lvl 70 you cxan get 100g in a matter of about an hour, and thats hardly even doing anything, just some really easy quests every day

get on over to shattered halls! if you level up quick enough you can come to some dungeons with me

I found it pretty hard to get gold in LOTRO untill i took up dentistry on poor old sagrurzmanaged to get over 160g sorting that poor fella's teeth out

If you havent got an invite to the guild yet, do the "/who ocuk" in your chat and look for either mixeh or freiya and ask them for a guild invite, just sayd your from ocuk might be on a bit tonight if you are around might heklp boost you through some low instances and get you some uber gear, depends how kind im feeling
