Simplesreenrecorder & Peek probs.? (Solus)

I have simplescreenrecorder, but the files it saves suddenly don't open in my vid. players, I just tried to change the record window size no idea how that did it if it did? The files also say plain text in properties (weird). I have Peek but that doesn't record the audio,

SSR guves me this when I record


[VideoEncoder::PrepareStream] Error: Width or height is zero!

[PageRecord::StartOutput] Error: Something went wrong during initialization.

What distro are you using?

I tried to use it yesterday on Debian and it refused to work. On Ubuntu it's fine.

Honestly call recording is the biggest ****show in Linux. I ****ing hate it.

EDIT: ah, just seen, Solus. Can't help I'm afraid. Other to say I don't know why anyone would use that distro :p

I like it a a rolling release, but they make sure stuff works before updates. Plus it is a user friendly distro. I used mint before, I liked it, but it wasn't rolling. Fixed SSR though/

Any good vids. that compare them. Honesty I have started to wonder if I should install Man., if I ever have to reinstall Linux.
