I'm loving the 330CI Clubsport thing.

Only thing is, the engine is a bit weak for a modern straight 6 (perfectly balanced) engine. :(
 
In all fairness though it's probably not natural for a 30-something married dad of four to be sticking crap to an utterly in-practical riced-up Japcrap.. :o :D

My brother drives a RS Turbo with a 2.1 lump. Keeps getting quicker every other week. I don't think he's going to grow out of it soon either. He is 30. :eek: :D

I reckon my 330d is the an ideal car for everyday driving. Its fast when I want ot be fast, its comfirtable and easy to drive on the way home from a long day at work, its reasonable economical, it looks good, seats four in comfort, has a reasonable boot, the straight six actually sounds pretty good for a diesel when you rev it (its a proper ROAR!), need I go on?!

Howeve,r I would like a more fun car to cruise around at the weekends in. Something like an F150 Lightning.... And maybe an Elise too.... :p

With all due respect I cannot think of a single thing about the Hyundai Coupe which isn't more boring than any thing about the 5 Series :p

But being the master of something means compromise in other areas - I am unwilling to accept compromise. I would trade the exceptional handling of an elise for the good handling of a 5 Series becuase the Elise is compromised in many other areas. Similarily, I would trade the exceptional refinement of an S Class for the excellent refinement of a 5 Series because the S Class is, again, a compromise in other areas :)

It's all about striking a balance - now, not for everyone - but it is for me. It's what *I* want out of a car. Something which is a 'poor' at nothing.

I wasn't particularly referring to my current car lol. I'd CLEARLY have any BMW over this, but i'm talking about my next car. I'm only 19 remember, plenty of time for proper fast cars.

I see exactly what you mean, but for me it'll mean I'll have to have a luxo-barge and an elise ;)
