What's the best GPU you can get for £100? That could be stretched a little bit however..

Would it be half decent for some modern games? Obviously on some lower settings etc.

Cheers.:)

What PSU are you using?.

The GTX 460 is a little more expensive but I think they have a little more overclocking headroom but as I'm not sure I'll let other GTX 460 users keep you right but the 6850 is a very very close second as well as a decent card for the money.

Cheers mon:)

It's for a friend, so not too sure of the PSU, i'll make sure it's capable however.

That 6850 sounds rather good, the 460 would need to be appreciably better to make it worth it for him, any users out there know if it'd be a step up or not?

I would go for the 6850 to be honest. It is newer tech, can be overclocked more and is better than the GTX460 in DX11 and it is around the same power as the GTX460: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/291?vs=313.

I thought that. I just had a sneaky feeling that I've read more than once that when both overclocked the GTX460 is slightly faster but for the other reasons you've mentioned, it's more clear now. I like to push what I have as fast as it can go before settling on a 24/7 use so the GTX460 appeals to me in this situation but that's my personal preference :).
