sims 2 install problem

hi,

my sister is trying to install the sims 2 on her laptop, however when she gets to about 30% of the 2nd disk the whole computer freezes and has to restart

i have no idea what is up with it, the laptop is good enough to run it. i have never had something make the computer freeze completely like this

Have you tried to install it on another computer? It could be that the 2nd CD is dodgy. If it is try cleaning it, if that doesn't work take it back to the shop you bought it from.
