Sims 3 a bit jerky

Why is the Sims 3 a little bit jerky now and again for me? My system specs are in sig, is that the problem? But when i press M for the map it's jerky when it zoomes out....It's annoying. Does anybody get this?

When the gf plays on her machine (8800gt) it's fine, when she's playing using my 4870 it's jerky when zoomed out.

I've seen a few other people with ATI cards finding it jerky too.

Yeah it says it is up to date...And btw, The Sims is awsome

It felt like I got a bit of FPS lag aswell and I'm running a 4870 card. Down to poor optimization I guess?

I get the same problems even with my system. Must be a hardware issue somewhere. Lots of people have reported it, but no fixes as of yet (and I doubt there will be).

my sims was was perfectly fine using the 8800gts which i had, since moving to the 295 is terrible for some reason. Laggy as hell that game.
