Sims 3 and it's expansions - how to check that they work?

Hey guys i've just downloaded and installed Sims 3 from origin including 2 expansion packs which are 'High End Loft Stuff' and 'Late Night'.

What I did was install the original game 1st, Loft Stuff 2nd and finally late Night 3rd. I've updated everything but when I go to 'Installed Content' while launching Sims 3 there's nothing there even though both expansions are to my knowledge installed.

Is there any way to check they've installed properly and i've not buggered something up?

They wont show up in installed content, thats stuff you get from the marketplace.

On the Launcher at the bottom are a row of icons, these indicate expansions and add on packs, they should show there
