since intel price drop im now thinking of getting a Intel Core 2 Quadro Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) as these are on special at the moment ....i was just wanting to know what is the best motherboard to buy for it....

Do you want to overclock? - Gigabyte DS3P, ASUS P5B, Abit QuadGT, ASUS P5N-E SLi
Do you want to play games and have 2 graphics cards? ASUS P5N-E SLi, EVGA 680i
Do you value cheapness? Gigabyte P965-S3
Do want performance at any cost? - ASUS Commando, Abit QuadGT
Do you want stability more than anything else? Intel P965, Intel Bad Axe P975
Are you willing to wait? - XFX 650i Ultra, DFI i965 Dark
They all have good points and bad points and every single person who has one would argue that they bought the right one for them, and possibly for you too.
Ultimately - you should spend a couple of hours reading the specifications of these boards and then come back and ask detailed questions when you're a bit more clued up.
