Bit of a long title, I am not sorry.

I read this earlier and thought it was quite amusing.

https://www.theguardian.com/technol...wyer-donotpay-parking-tickets-london-new-york

An artificial-intelligence lawyer chatbot has successfully contested 160,000 parking tickets across London and New York for free, showing that chatbots can actually be useful.

Dubbed as “the world’s first robot lawyer” by its 19-year-old creator, London-born second-year Stanford University student Joshua Browder, DoNotPay helps users contest parking tickets in an easy to use chat-like interface.

The results seem impressive!

I did lol at this bit though:

The bot was created by the self-taught coder after receiving 30 parking tickets at the age of 18 in and around London.

damn machines coming over here take jobs from honest hard working lawyers...

impressive number of tickets contested there, although I do wonder how much of it is really just sending a correctly worded letter to the right place. Sure there will be an automated defence lawyer bot in the works somewhere soon :D

Nonono, we simply cannot have bots talking to each other. Don't you even watch the movies?!

"Computer says won't pay, please waive ticket"

"Computer says no"

"Computer says won't pay, please waive ticket"

"Computer says no"

"Computer says won't pay, please waive ticket"

"Computer says no"

"Computer says won't pay, please waive ticket"

"Computer says no"

INFINITE LOOP ERROR

it'll all be mute in a few years time anyhows when we just send out self driving cars off to AutoUber all day and make some money instead of parking...
