Since when was the NSL 35mph?

I think it might have been a dual carriageway a couple of years ago but for some reason they changed it to a single, I have no idea why though.
I think my mate said there had been a lot of accidents there.

I was stuck in traffic on that road for 20 minutes on Friday trying to get to Rye.
When I eventually got to Flimwell and took the A268 I got stuck behind a Merc doing 35mph in a NSL.
It wasn't you was it? ;)

Haha, at least you don't have to travel along the A259 in that direction :(

This thread really grinds my gears. There is a road near my house (sealand road) the main one from Wales to Chester and its NSL people consistently drive at 35-40 it really really pees me off, ive got a crappy corsa and still im forced to overtake.
There is a speed camera at the end of the road, and people literaly slam on it really really bugs me!!!

I had this today, 2 lane NSL, driver in front doing 25-30.

I move over to the right lane on a straight to pass, using indicators to show my intention. Car in front moves over too to straddle BOTH lanes now at 25-30mph. I flash my lights to indicate my presence and it just sits there straddling the lanes.

Totally ridiculous.

I have to say that I would have been tempted to report him as a possible drunk driver. If the police came back to me I could truthfully say: "Well, he was going way below the legal speed limit and weaving across the road: what was I supposed to think?"

Even better, I was following an older gent in an nsl doing 50 which was fine, the limit for vans and I was in no rush. Come to an area with a few houses but still nice straight clear road. Signed 50 in massive letters, so he slows down to 40mph, just completely random, cant even claim ignorance of what the sign means like you could with nsl!

His speedo was probably over-reading.

Was it a Citroen C3?

This drives me insane. Seldom do I approach my town along one of its many B roads/lanes to find there's someone doing the limit (or anywhere near it). It's like people are scared of driving 'fast'.

My inlaws are a prime example, and are utterly frustrating to be in a car with. One saving grace about this area is that there are no speed cameras along any of my usual routes. Infact, I know of only 3 in a 13 mile radius, and none in my home town or neighbouring towns. So when I can overtake, I don't have to worry too much about creeping over the limit momentarily.
