Singapore Hotels

Thanks for the replies, that's really helpful! If I were without the kids I think we'd 100% only stay 2 nights max, but we'll need to take it slow. The flip side to that is that we could extend the stay in Bali for a night and potentially stay somewhere nicer in Singapore for fewer nights.

Basically want to eat and experience the big city vibes. Things like the botanical gardens and the cloud forest dome sound good for the kids. Sentosa island is a bit cheesy, but the cable car is cool and great for the kids. Not 100% sure about the zoo, I guess it depends on how long we end up staying but I know it's amazing.
Universal studios at Sentosa Island is great for the kids, I enjoyed it too :D

Have booked the Shangri-La on Orchard Road. Looks like a good base for exploring the city and hopefully nice surroundings if we’re half dead from the long journey with the kids!

I stayed at the Yotel on Orchard Road in December. Reasonably good modern hotel with handy access to the Orchard MRT station. There’s like 4 shopping malls either side of the intersection where the MRT station entrances are which are all interlinked with this giant mall underneath the road and the MRT station is amongst that. So easy to end up on the wrong side of the street on exiting from where you want to be.

Singapore is great. Nice weather, good food and easy to get around. It’s about £20-£30 for a taxi from the airport.
