Flying to Singapore this October for a holiday eventually in Bali.

We land at around 6PM and then i'm aiming to have a flight booked out of Changi the following morning for around 10am.

Do you think for that amount of layover the best option is to stay in the Crown Plaza in the airport, my only reservation with that is that its significantly more expensive than staying elsewhere. But it does look to be a lot more convenient, especially as we will be travelling with a one year old.

Or would it be just as easy getting a taxi to a hotel nearby? Trying to think what will be the easiest for us to do after a long flight.

Dad and I got a room in the Terminal 2 transit hotel last November when going to New Zealand https://www.harilelahospitality.com/terminal-3-new

Not exactly cheap, but very convenient as we only had 9 hours lay over, so we got one of the twin bed rooms in the above transit hotel.

It was fine, quiet, clean and convenient.

It’s going to be down to your preference if you feel like leaving the transit area to get a better hotel, I imagine by the time you’ve cleared immigration etc. it’ll be closer to 7-8? Then the following day I imagine you’ll be there around 7-8?

Other thing is there are much better places to eat once you leave the transit area. The options airside are a bit lacking.

For that short duration, stay at Yotel at the Jewel. Pop into town for the evening, go to 1 Hawker Market for dinner and then explore the Jewel until closing before sleep.

Don't luggage your luggage all the way into town for that short a stay.

Download the Grab App which is their Uber if you want to take a taxi. It's only about £20 from airport to Orchard Road (I stayed on Orchard Road's Yotel).
