Would a single 780 be enough for gaming at 2560 x 1440 ? thinking of x- rebirth or would a 1080p 120hz be better ?
Thanks Brian

I'm running a 780 at 1440p an it generally runs very high/ultra (but with low AA) with most games at 60fps (obviously not Crysis 3/ Tomb Raider etc...)

For instance to keep to a minimum of 60fps I couldn't have TressFX on in Tomb Raider and had to turn a few of the other settings down a little (I forget which ones now though but it didn't take away from the game)

I also had to turn down some settings in Metro Last Light but it still looked stunning!!

There are a lot of threads talking about 1440p vs 120hz but there's never a winner. I love my display but never played at 120hz so cannot comment on preference.

What are the requirements of the game, are they pretty high? Can't say I've seen it before

Brian,

I am currently running a 780 at 1440 with no problems - copes with most games on high or very high etc - just have to tweak a bit if it starts to struggle. Think you will be fine with one, but two will be even better. Congrats on kicking the ciggies habit - I still need to do it, any tips?

That is the best signature iv'e seen :eek:How much money.

I play on a 120Hz screen, came from a 1920 X 1200 60Hz monitor and i would find it very hard to go back to 60Hz

Thanks for that i'm now torn between a 1440p and a possible 2nd 780 and a 120hz 1080p with one card.......hmmmm i have an absolute max budget of 3k but the wife wont be happy :)

If you get a 120Hz monitor you will soon feel like you have to have a GPU that can put out 120 fps :)
