Single card to replace 5850 crossfire

Looked at various benchies etc. with no definative answer unless spending mega bucks on a GTX580.

Gaming at 1920 x 1080 res.

What single card would you replace a 5850 cross fire set up with ?

I want to free up a slot by going single card.

Got a flashed 6950 myself, but if buying now, I would be really stuck deciding between the 6950 and this:

flashed 6950 if you have to upgrade but i cant really see the point as cf 5850 are as good or better than gtx 580

If you've got the money bang a GTX 580 in there, should last a coupla years I'm sure

Replaced my 4870 crossfire with a single 6970. I was happy I did.

With what you can get selling the 5850's you should be able to get a 6970, it maybe slower than your xfire but will free up the pci slot and to be honest i doubt you would notice loss of quality playing games
