I have two sticks of the memory below on my Gigabyte DS3 board.

From the screen print below from CPU-Z it shows it running in single channel. Is this correct?

I must confess I cant say I fully understnad single/dual channel put see lots of other people on here with their CPu-Z dumps reading dual channel.

It probably is correct.

You need the memory to be in the same coloured slots to get dual-channel (either both in the yellow or both in the red slots for the DS3).

ok thanks. I will pop the side off my case when I get 5 mins. Is there much performance increase between running in single and dual channel?

cool in which case i will see where I have installed the sticks. Its interesting though that in CPU-Z the sticks are read at slots 1 and 2. However i suppose CPU-Z could just sequentially number rather than consider where on the MB the sticks are installed
