single & dual channel ram

Morning
This will probably sound stupid but i've always bought ram sticks in pairs
Is it possible to buy 1 and later on but exact same one and for it to be dual channel?

ive always thought dual channel were pre configured and single channel not always goes together with another even identical part? am i wrong?
Please help

Yes thats fine to do.

Strictly speaking a matched set is tested together, but two individual singles will also work.

i was wondering if there is a difference between say g3220 and haswell i3, 4130/50
would like to pair it with entry lvl gpu such as 760 or 270x
either cpu wouldnt bottleneck anything right?

I cant seem to get a decent comparison between those two CPUs.

mate of mine wants to play wow and it will probably run on sega
