Single GPU Solution (£350)

Hello chaps,

I'm looking for a single GPU for BF4. I want to run at max ideally and had picked the 280x Toxic, which is now 5-6 weeks away.

I'm looking for an alternative and have upto £350 to spend.

There's no likelyhood of doubling up in the next 12 months, so 1 card will have to do.

I'd like specific suggestions rather than just a model number if possible please

Wait for non ref r290s, these cards will be amazing with a proper cooler on, the performance is already there, just need to sort the noise out.

Incredible bang for buck.

When are they due? Shame the 290X is so far outside my budget really.

Just how loud are the reference boards and is there much difference between them?

#EDIT - Is there much difference between 280x and 290?

Your code is shoddy, his budget is £350 so that can't be FALSE

I wasn't going to say as much, since he offered help, but I thought so too

Is there any clue as to when the non-reference 290's are going to be released? I don't really want to wait till xmas to play bf4

Thanks very much for all the suggestions.

I ran BF4 last night (my first opportunity) on my HD5870 and ran on medium surprisingly well.

I shall therefor wait for the non-reference 290s and just hope they're out soon
