Paid around 300ish for a 9700pro back in ze day, 250ish for my first Opteron 165 and 250ish for my x800pro VIVO, think those are the most expensive stuff i've gotten in recent times. Can't remember how much but i paid a packet for my Pentium cpu :D

my most expensive part was several years ago when the intel pentium processor came out, i brought the p3 500 for something like £550

Now i have more sense won't spend more than £200-250 on any single component, ideally less than £200

My RAM in sig: £160 delivered half year ago...

Saw it in OCUK clearance last month for less than £120 :(

My 17" LCD cost me £80 delivered from the bay more than a year ago. :)

Same here, got a P3 400 for something close to 400 big notes, I think I had been paid a bonus at the time and thought what the hell, never again :)

Also paid some ridiculous amount for a Yamaha SCSI writer and SCSI card many moons ago, something like 400 plus notes at the time with media being £5+ a pop  The writer was either a 2x or 4x speed :)
