Hey guys, I have a quite annoying problem with my current bedroom setup.

Currently I have:
  • Sky Digital Box (Standard Navy Blue sky remote)
  • Hyundai 42" HQP421HR (Silver Slim TV remote) [This plasma found and bought from OcUK's plasma tv's section)
  • Logitech Z-5500 5.1 PC Speakers

My PC is connected to my Speaker system but only with the Front L&R + Centre/Sub connections, which leaves my Rear L&R speaker channels connected directly to my TV (whos volume can be independantly changed with the "Surround" volume setting in my Logitechs).

My TV for some reason cannot change the volume of its composite outputs, so I have to do so by changing the volume of "Surround" in my Logitech speakers remote instead.

Obviously only the sky remote can change the channels on my sky digibox.

So with the above facts, this means I have to juggle around 3 different remotes to simply watch some simple Sky television.

Now I ask you this and I know its a long shot, but: Is there any way I can reprogram my sky remote to not only turn on/off my plasma, but also adjust my "Surround" volume setting in my logitech speaker system?

I have looked up this TV on google etc and could not even find any "Manufacture codes" for my sky remote.

If not, would there be a programmable universal remote control that can do this?

no

Yes, just about any programmable remote control will allow this

Harmony 525 (£ 65.00) would be my choice.

Try and get something with a "learning feature" so that if you can’t find the codes for you sound system you can copy them for you existing remote. :)

I have one of the Sony Integrated Commander range, although I'm not sure of the exact model.

It's like flying a spaceship every time you turn on the TV.
