Will a single one be able to handle Eyefinity @ 5760x1080? I ask because I currently have 2 and tried Battlefield 3. I get about 35-40FPS on all ultra settings (can't remember if I had VS selected or not) using this at stock. However, with just one I get between 60-70. So will it go down drastically further from 35-40 like it did from 60-70 to 35-40? I would accept no less than 30.

If I get another monitor, should I buy a second 7950, too?

Thanks

on one 7950? yes it struggles, mine runs at stock clocks at 5760x1080 at ultra dependent on map it will hang around the 30 region with no aa. whats good is it wont really drop much in a fight.

That said its not great so i turn down settings, on med with hbao turned to ssao...(i think thats it) fps is up in the 50s never dipping below 40. and on a screen that big in a game as fast as bf3 i dont really notice the detail drop, that said i hope to xfire in the future, but would like a matched pair of sapphire 7950 oc and nobody is selling! :P

I would suggest that you may have to lower your settings a bit. You are adding 50% more pixels than you currently have so fps wil definately take a hit. I have 2 x 7950's and can run BF3 on ultra comfortably. You could go lower the settings for now and add another 7950 at a later date if you feel it is necessary. You would be below 30fps I would imagine as you are now.

edit: You beat me on the reply :p

I see. Well I will buy an extra monitor at the end of the month so will try it with lower settings and try and get the maximum overclock of the card before I purchase a new 7950. X-fire would be great though!

At the moment I am not going past 30 with 2 monitors which is acceptable but obviously 2x eyefinity is not ideal because of the bezel in the middle. So I will have 3 at the end of the month! :)

Do you have 2x7950 with one monitor or do you have more?

Thanks for the replies guys.
