Does anyone know of a 4890/5770 that is single slot, I have a micro board and my 4890 renders 2 PCI slots useless.

There are no 5770 cards that are single slot yet - all the ones are based on the reference design. I have not come across a single slot 4890 - the highest end single slot seems to be the 4850.
 
You can get a single slot GTX 260, I believe that's the most powerful single slot card (not counting water cooling)
 
As elpedro said, the GTX260 is the fastest single slot graphics card available. Next in line is the 4850.

I would recommend waiting until a newer card comes out that's single slot, or investing in an aftermarket HS/F to put on your 4890 that frees up some slots.

It's odd that it's blocking 2 PCI slots though, is it a sapphire one?
