Hi guys,

Just upgraded to a single 5870 from a 5850, I was going to crossfire them but then i thought if there is any advantage i'd upgrade my 5850 to a 5870.

If I can play games in more or less max settings on my 5870 is there much benefit to having two in SLI?

Would I notice any difference?

It's crossfire (ATI) not SLI (Nvidia).
I have had a 5870 from when they first came out.
I have just purchased one yesterday from OcUK to crossfire.
I was thinking of getting a 6950 and flashing it to a 6970 but a lot of people on here advised me to get another 5870 and crossfire them.

You probably won't notice much at the moment, but give the industry a few months (read: November, Skyrim and BF3) and that second card will prove its worth. The 5-series doesn't scale quite as well in CF as the 6-series, but they're by no means bad. 5850s usually see an increase of about 80-85% I believe, and the 5870 should be about the same.
